Season in review

Written by Team Garrett at 16:53 6/4-2009

At the start of the season Team Garrett found itself in 2nd division for the first time in it's history. The team struggled through it's first few races with Deason picking up a few podium finishes, but no other results to speak of. After some strategic planning, our team has been yo-yoing from 2nd to 3rd division for the better part of the last season in hopes of training some riders and picking up some prizes. After a few races in 3rd division we promoted again to 2nd. Deason picked up a few 7th and actually managed to scratch out one win in Colfosco - Colfosco. However we found the racing was just slightly above out ability and we relegated back to 3rd. After a few training sessions and some racing. We were able to gain some great results in 3 with the podium sweep of Bludenz GP being the penultimate race in 3rd. With one final race remaining in 3rd division the team feels confident that the 3rd time promoting to 2nd division will be the charm. Season 8 goals will remain the same as in previous seasons, win climbing stages and continue the training cycles for our selected riders. The team will be exploring the option of searching for a classics rider or a time trialer to train for the coming season.
